Service Description

This workshop covers both Level 1 and Level 2. If you only wish to attend Level 1 training (first two dates) or just the Level 2 (last two dates), please book only the workshop you wish to attend. The combined Level 1 & 2 workshop is a great way to start your Makaton journey. It gives an introduction to the Makaton Language Programme, looks at the research that has been done over the past 40 years and teaches the signs and symbols from stages 1-4 of the core vocabulary. The Level 2 workshop also looks at teaching procedures and how to start introducing Makaton in different settings. The cost of the workshops includes: tuition, a set of manuals, postage and a certificate of attendance from The Makaton Charity. When booking Level 1 & 2 together the booking fee is not applied, therefore, saving you a few pounds too! The course will be delivered live via zoom. Interaction is required throughout the course in order to support your learning of the signs and symbols. Please could you focus your camera to enable me to see your hands and torso and manage your own mute button as required. You will be emailed a link to join this event online nearer the time. Please provide an email address which you would like your invitation to be sent to, along with some extra resources you will need to access before the course. Both manuals will be posted to the address on your booking form prior to the course start date.
