Service Description

Level 1 training provides a practical introduction to the Makaton Language Programme. Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work. You will also learn the signs and symbols from stages 1 and 2, and some of the additional stage, of the core vocabulary. The course will be delivered live via zoom. Interaction is required throughout the course in order to support your learning of the signs and symbols. Please could you focus your camera to enable me to see your hands and torso and use the mute function when you are not talking to me. You will be emailed a link to join this event online nearer the time. Please provide an email address which you would like your invitation to be sent to, along with some extra resources you will need to access before the course.
