Service Description

This workshop covers both Level 1 and Level 2. Please get in touch with me directly if you only wish to attend Level 1 training only (first two dates) or just the Level 2 (last two dates). The combined Level 1 & 2 workshop is a great way to start your Makaton journey. It gives an introduction to the Makaton Language Programme, looks at the research that has been done over the past 40 years and teaches the signs and symbols from stages 1-4 of the core vocabulary. The Level 2 workshop also looks at teaching procedures and how to start introducing Makaton in different settings. The course will be delivered live via zoom. Interaction is required throughout the course in order to support your learning of the signs and symbols. Please could you focus your camera to enable me to see your hands and torso and manage your own mute button as required. You will be emailed a link to join this event online around a week before the event. Please provide an email address which you would like your invitation to be sent to. You will receive a digital manual for the sessions which include your certificate, which can be printed. This is a fully funded session by the university. Please only sign up if you can attend in full, as it costs the university and prevents others from attending. I look forward to meeting you online soon. Corrine
